My name is Mihoko Stolley. As you can see, Kobayashi is a Japanese family name. I grew up in Japan and graduated with a Bachelors degree in piano performance. I have over 20 years experience teaching piano, and am certified from Ultimate Music Theory. I grew up playing not only piano but also different musical instruments like Violin, Trombone, Flute, and a variety of other instruments. As a child, I was always playing some kind of musical instrument and grew up performing in bands  and orchestra. 

My goal for teaching is to provide students the opportunity to discover and improve their musical skill, so that each student has an individual desire to create music for the rest of their lives. I greatly enjoy watching my students discover the beauty of music. Music brings people together and is shared everywhere. I am blessed to witness firsthand my students’ musical creations.
